I have been back to playing with copper and beads again this week. The copper, glass and leather combination of materials gives a Boho feel to this necklace.
Completed the sea glass pendant at last. I decided a braided necklace of seed beads and gem chips worked better than a leather thong or a traditional chain. With spring finally here and fruit trees starting to blossom in the garden I have also made a couple more tree of Life pendants. The Peridot ones always seem the most popular.
The warm spring weather from the early part of the week seems to have disappeared today. I had intended to spend the day beating silver in my studio. Instead I stayed in the warmth and finally have got round to adding new stock to my online shop. I have had a busy month. I had commissions for moon gazing hare pendants. I have also been playing with sea glass that I collected on my walks along the local West Wight beaches. The beginning of the month I attended an enamelling taster day at the Quay Arts Centre, so hope to start combining some new techniques in my jewellery.
Hello and welcome to my site. My name is Ann Henderson. I live with my family and my fox terrier Nina and an ancient tortoise called Lizzie on the Isle of Wight, a small diamond shaped Island off the south coast of England in the UK. It is a beautiful, magical place to live and the stunning views of land, sea and sky inspire me every day. I work mainly with copper and silver with semi precious stone and glass beads. My jewellery is sold at The Quay Art Centre in Newport and The Roman Villa Museum in Brading. All my work is one of a kind, but if you see something you like, I can make you something very similar. I hope you enjoy looking at my jewellery as much as I enjoyed making it. Thank you for visiting.
